Why run a self-hosted CRM?

Most CRMs rent you access to your own customers. Your data sits on their servers, and every text, call and payment can carry their margin.

A self-hosted CRM flips that. The database is yours. The keys are yours. You decide where it runs, who can reach it and how long you keep data. If you stop using it, nothing gets locked away.

Up and running in about ten minutes

One Docker Compose command starts the app, Postgres, Redis, background jobs, realtime, HTTPS and virus scanning. Prefer a managed host? Deploy each part on Railway instead.

Then open your domain. A first-run wizard creates your admin account, your agency and your first workspace. Launchpad walks you through the rest, and ticks steps off from real data.

Your keys, your costs

Connect Twilio or Telnyx for calls and texts. Use Amazon SES, SendGrid, Postmark, Mailgun, Resend or plain SMTP for email. Pick Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter or a local Ollama model for AI. Take payments on your own Stripe or PayPal account.

Keys are encrypted in the database. Imago adds no markup and takes 0% of your payments. A usage and cost log shows every AI request, so you always know what you spend.

Security you control on a self-hosted CRM

Hosting it yourself does not mean doing security yourself from scratch. Imago ships with the controls a business CRM needs, switched on from day one.

Uploaded files are virus scanned and stripped of metadata. Team chat can use its own encryption key per account, optionally held in AWS or Google Cloud KMS. Exports are audited, and spreadsheet exports are protected against formula injection.

Is the self-hosted CRM really free?

Yes. Self-hosting is free forever. You pay your own providers, such as Twilio, your email service and your AI provider, directly at their prices, with no markup from us.

Do I need to be a developer to self-host Imago?

No. One Docker Compose command starts everything, or you can deploy on Railway. A setup wizard and the Launchpad checklist handle the rest.

Where is my data stored?

In your own Postgres database, on the server you choose. Imago does not keep a copy.

Can I try it before I connect any providers?

Yes. Every channel has a built-in sandbox, so you can click through the whole product on day one without a single key.

How do I get the code?

Imago is in early access. Sign up with your name and email and we send you the GitHub link.

Is there a hosted version if I don't want a server?

Imago Cloud is planned for Release 2: one free workspace with no card, and a prepaid wallet for texts, calls, email and AI. It is the same product.
